Céora on Their Solea Experience

What’s something people always underestimate about building a brand?
The behind the scenes. Céora has been a year in the making and it was alot of late night calls which surprisingly we made work even with the time zone differences. A lot of changes in our designs, our direction, our branding, packaging. There was definitely a lot of second-guessing throughout the journey, but that's the beautiful thing about having a business partner. Whenever one of us lost a little confidence, the other was there to remind us why we started and keep us moving forward.
What was the biggest creative unlock during this project?
The biggest creative unlock was realizing the love Soy and I had for texture and details in jewellery. We obviously discovered this during the very beginning stages of our journey and when we were in search for our manufacturer and also not following trends but more leading into what we would personally wear.

What part of the process felt the most collaborative?
Honestly majority of the process. From deciding pieces for our first selection, organizing campaign + ecom, designing the website, but if I had to choose one moment it would be the selection and design process of our pieces. It was the first thing we ever focused on and the very beginning stages of Ceora.
What’s one thing Solea cared about just as much as you did?
I would say authenticity, they never tried to make us fit into someone else's vision and they wanted Céora to feel like how we envisioned Céora. Even with creatives they curated for us aligns with our branding, I’d say they understood our vision really well.

POV: Someone’s thinking of working with Solea. What’s the first thing you’d tell them?
The first thing I'd say is to be completely open with them. The more they understand your vision, the better they can help bring it to life. They're not just there to execute a project, they genuinely become an extension of your team. They care about the relationship just as much as the outcome, they're full of ideas when you hit a creative block, and every decision they make is with your best interests at heart.
